PET Carol Concert 2017

29 Nov 2017

Prisoners’ Education Trust is delighted to announce that it will be hosting a Christmas Carol Concert on Wednesday 29th November 2017 at the beautiful St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden, WC2E 9ED at 6.30pm.

The event, kindly supported by Phoenix Equity Partners, promises to be an entertaining evening, featuring our guest speaker, Pastor Lorraine Jones, who is a community campaigner and founder of Dwaynamics MBE, a crime prevention scheme which was set up in-memory of her son. The evening will also hear from PET alumni including Bobby Kasanga, who is the founder of Hackney Wick Football Club and author of The Life I Live Not The Life I Chose. Bobby set up Hackney Wick FC whilst campaigning to get more recognition for non-league football, when he came across many disgruntled players on Hackney Marshes who complained about the long distances they had to travel in order to play football at a competitive level.

There will be a wonderful array of Christmas carols, sung by the amazing London Choir, Fever Pitch, and presentations from former prisoner learners and PET President, His Honour John Samuels QC. The event is FREE to attend, however booking is required, simply register by emailing: events@prisonerseducation.org.uk. If you have any questions, call 020 3752 5681.
