Student loans

Learners in prison can try out Open University access courses with funding from PET. But they will need to apply for student loans to pay for tuition fees to go on to a full degree. Naturally, you should be cautious about taking out a loan. In order to make the right decision it is important to separate the myths from the facts. PET has developed a myth busting leaflet, clarifying issues such as loan repayment. For more information, read a recent article written by PET's Advice Manager for people considering taking out a loan in prison.
