Education is a positive force for change. By empowering people in prison with knowledge and skills through our distance learning courses, we can create a ripple effect that extends beyond prison – strengthening families and communities and creating a more inclusive society.
Your support can be a lifeline for learners like ‘Chris’ who is studying a Health and Safety course to work towards his future goals:
Being able to study through courses funded by PET has been a lifeline for me whilst in jail. The courses on offer have the ability to change my life for the better in ways I could never have hoped for.
I have confidence that the education I have received will deliver a prosperous future for me and my family. Thank you so much, for everything.
This year, the number of people in prison has increased by over 5,000. PET’s support for people to gain skills and qualifications through distance learning is more vital than ever.
We help individuals and the over-stretched prison system. Our distance learning courses give people a desire to succeed and ability to achieve.
This Christmas, we have set ourselves the ambitious target of raising £40,105 to fund 55 distance learning courses, alongside advice and support for learners.
We have secured an amazing £20,000 of match-funding towards this target which means that any donations received from today until Tuesday 5 December will be doubled!

Thank you so much for sharing our passion for education – we couldn’t do our work without all of your wonderful support.
