Omar knows first-hand about the power of education. He read his first book in prison, studied a PET course, completed a degree and has now founded his own company. We shared his story this time last year.
Each PET course can be the start of a brighter future for someone. And, with your help, last year we were able to fund 1,741 courses for people in prison.
In the face of ongoing challenges in the prison system – and significant cuts to the education provided by prisons – we continued to offer support and guidance to our learners.
We took 1,261 calls on our Advice Line and even hit the milestone of 50,000 course awards since we were founded 36 years ago!
That’s alongside advancing our digital resources for learners and improving educational opportunities through our policy work.
